Learn
to get in touch with the silence within yourself, and know
that everything in life has purpose. There are no mistakes,
no coincidences; all events are blessings given to us to

Liz
completed the entire Making Strides Against Breast
Cancer five mile walk! She has participated in this
event every year since it began and nothing would stop her
this year. She had lots of support from friends, colleagues
and family who helped push her wheel chair. It was a beautiful
day for the walk; the pictures tell the story.
The
Longfellow Dental Practice was a Top Five
fundraiser for this year's event
Liz
also has support from her co-workers at the IRS
Liz's
chair was decorated to the Max
AND
she had a Very Cool Hat (courtesy of Marjorie
from Utah) - notice the matching shades, always lookin' good
Time

Liz's
son Andrew got to pay Mom back for all those
years she pushed him around!
Daughter
Jessica shared in chauffering
and
of course Hubby Mark was right there too.
Real Men DO wear Pink!
Liz's
nieces (Breanna, Laura and Caitlyn) and their
Mom Marianne (sister of Liz's brother Tom)
Liz
and her mother Joyce - you can see where
the smile and contagious enthusiasm comes from
As
a certain Count once said: "Live then, and be happy,
beloved children of my heart, and never forget that until
the day when God shall deign to reveal the future to man,
all human wisdom is summed up in these two words, 'Wait' and
'Hope'"
October
31: Liz and the Pirates!
Liz's
first trip to eat out since her surgery - looks like she met
some interesting friends!
You
can't stop the power of a smile - doesn't she look simply
radiant, showing off her new 'do?
The song that is playing is "Praise
You In This Storm" by Casting Crowns.
As
you listen to the words of this song, gaze at the photos
of Liz and know that she breathes this message into her
heart. Into her being.
The
storm rages and still she hears the voice of one who heals,
who loves beyond measure, who carries her when her strength
fails.
Hope.
Believe. Pray.
Be in the moment.
With Liz.

The
Lyrics: words by Mark Hall/music
by Mark Hall and Bernie Herms
I was sure by now, God, You would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
and it's still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.
Chorus:
And I'll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
no matter where I am
and every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to You
and raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
if I can't find You
and as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away
Chorus
I lift my eyes
unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes unto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
